About Saudi Arabia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab state in Western Asia by area and the largest in the Arab world after Algeria.

The population amounts to over 34 million inhabitants and the country ranks third in the world for the number of immigrants received on its territory (2020).

It borders Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, Yemen to the south, the Red Sea to the west and the Persian Gulf to the east.

The kingdom has a quarter of the world's oil reserves, and even if the income is not evenly distributed, the living standards of its subjects have improved over the years. Over 80% of the oil extracted is exported both by sea and by pipelines mainly to Western countries calming the prices of crude oil on the financial markets.
