Work Permit
Most foreign nationals need a work permit to work in Canada..
An employer-specific work permit allows you to work in Canada based on the conditions of your work permit, for example:
- The name of the specific employer you can work for
- How long you can work
- The place where you can work
Before applying for an employer-specific work permit, your employer must provide you with one copy of your employment contract.
Your spouse or partner and dependent children may be able to work, study, or live with you while you work in Canada.
