VISA FOR ITALY

Italy, a European country with a long coastline on the Mediterranean, has left a deep mark on Western culture and cuisine. The capital, Rome, houses the Vatican, masterpieces of art and remains of the antiquity of the Roman Empire. Among the other cities stand out Florence, with Renaissance masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s David and Brunelleschi’s Dome; Venice, the city of the canals, and Milan, the Italian capital of fashion, which after also thanks to the Expo of 2015, is deeply renewing its urban landscape with skyscrapers signed by internationally renowned architects. 

Foreign citizens who have an interest in coming to Italy have the possibility to apply for different types of visa depending on their objective: tourist visa, work visa and family reunification.

The requirements and documents necessary to start these types of visas are different, but for everyone it will be necessary to fix as a last step, an appointment at the Italian Embassy or Consulate of reference in the applicant's country of origin.

Tourism Visa

The tourist visa allows for a maximum of 90 continuous days to stay in Italy and in the Schengen area.


Business Visa

This visa is addressed to foreign citizens who want to enter Italy and carry out an activity of work "subordinate" or "autonomous" and with short or long duration.


Family Reunion Visa

The Family Reunion Visa requires the issue of the "Nulla Osta" and then it is possible to start the application for a family reunification visa, which is addressed to first degree relatives including: spouses (husband or wife), parents (if they have no dependent children in their country of origin), or children.
